The role

Creative Strategist

Placed with a brand or agency Remote-first Full-time or contract No fee to you

This isn't a job at Adcrate. It's the job we place you into: owning creative strategy for a brand or agency that runs real paid-social budgets, vetted to the standard we hold our own team to.

The job

You sit between the media buyer and the creative team. You turn "we need more ads" into a plan, and a plan into ads that get tested.

What you'll be doing

  • →Read the account, every week. What's winning, what's fatigued, what's missing. Your ideas start from the numbers, not from a blank page.
  • →Brainstorm angles and hook variations weekly, tied to a persona, an awareness level and a proof point, then brief them for production so an editor or designer can build them without a call.
  • →Own the testing loop. Hypothesis, control, metric, kill rule. Brief → ad → result → next brief. You read the results and change the work without being asked.
  • →Build and keep the master document for the brand: personas, proof points, what's been tested, what's been learned. The thing a new teammate reads on day one.
  • →Keep a pulse on the market. What's working for other brands, format shifts, platform and policy changes, and how that feeds your next round of concepts.
  • →Communicate learnings to the team and, where the role calls for it, to leadership: what we tried, what happened, what's next.

What we look for

What we look for, and four things you'll have to prove on a real account before any brand meets you.

2+ yearsrunning paid-social creative: strategy, not just design or editing.
$50k+/monthon at least one account where you owned the strategy.
  • → Reads the account before the brief
  • → Hooks tied to a persona and a proof point, not vibes
  • → Briefs and testing plans a media buyer can run tomorrow
  • → Owns the loop from brief to result to next brief

Nice to have: you've worked more than one vertical, and you can hold your own with a media buyer on CPA, hook rate and fatigue without it being explained.

What you get from us

  • →The introduction. Brands and agencies that come to us because they don't know how to find you. You're one of two or three finalists they meet, not one of two hundred applicants.
  • →A strategist in your corner. An Adcrate strategist marks your test, preps you for the interview, and gives you straight feedback either way.
  • →Nothing out of your pocket. The hiring company pays our fee. Your salary or rate is yours.

Comp & logistics

  • Compensation is set per placement by the hiring brand or agency. We tell you the band before you interview, and we don't put you forward for anything below what you've told us you need.
  • Hours and location follow the placement. Most roles are remote-first; some want overlap with a specific timezone. You'll know before the first conversation.
  • Full-time or contract. Brands mostly want full-time; agencies mostly want contract. Tell us which you're open to.
  • Reports into the hiring company's growth or creative lead, not into Adcrate. Once you're placed, you're theirs.

If that's you, apply for the bench.

Five-minute application, a 90-minute test on a brand we assign, one interview. Feedback either way.
