This Privacy Policy explains how Adcrate Ltd. ("Adcrate," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit hireacreativestrategist.com (the "Site"), request a strategist, or apply to join our strategist bench. Hire a Creative Strategist is a placement service run by Adcrate. By using the Site or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Adcrate's agency website has its own policy at adcrate.com/privacy.
1. Information we collect
If you're hiring (brands and agencies)
- Request details: your name, work email, company, whether you're a brand or an agency, the role type, budget, vertical, ideal start date, and anything else you tell us in the request form.
- Engagement data: what you share on calls and by email while we scope the role, plus placement agreements, invoices, and feedback on candidates.
If you're a strategist
- Application details: your name, email, LinkedIn, portfolio, location and timezone, years of experience, your biggest account and its monthly spend band, verticals, the kind of role you're looking for, salary or day-rate expectations, current employer, earliest start date, and your answer about an ad that worked.
- Assessment data: your test submission, our marker's scores and feedback, interview notes, and feedback from hiring companies you interview with.
If the application form shows a "Not right now" screen, nothing you entered is sent to us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring URL, and timestamps, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
- Form context: when you submit a form, we record the page you submitted it from and the page that referred you.
Information from third parties
We may look at public sources you point us to or that relate to your application, such as your LinkedIn profile, portfolio, or company website.
2. How we use your information
- To scope roles, propose shortlists, agree fees, and deliver placements and the replacement guarantee.
- To assess applications, send and mark the test, interview strategists, and match them to roles.
- To check for conflicts, for example whether an applicant currently works at an Adcrate client.
- To communicate with you about requests, applications, interviews, agreements, and invoices.
- To send occasional updates about the service where permitted. You can opt out at any time.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Hiring companies: when we put a strategist forward for a role, we share their profile with that company, including their application details, test results, and our assessment. We tell strategists about the role before we put them forward.
- Strategists: when you request a strategist, we may share your company name and the role details with candidates we're considering for it.
- Adcrate's team: the strategists who mark tests and run interviews, and the people who manage placements.
- Service providers: tools we use to run the service, such as website hosting and storage, email, CRM, and workspace tools, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent protections.
4. Cookies and tracking
This Site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not load advertising pixels. We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits, pages, and referring sites in aggregate without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. If a link you followed carried campaign tags (such as utm_source), we record those tags with any form you submit so we know which outreach it came from. If any of this changes, we'll update this section before it does.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We keep strategist applications so we can match you to future roles and so you can reapply after the waiting period. You can ask us to delete yours at any time. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your information, including removal from the strategist bench.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email hello@hireacreativestrategist.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to maintain protections appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
8. International transfers
Adcrate operates with a distributed team, and the companies we place strategists with may be based anywhere. Your information may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. We take steps to ensure transfers are made in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
